Maryam Malmir is an Iranian Contemporary Dance Choreographer. She has produced her last work, The Loop, in Cyprus collaborated with the dancers from Brazil and Colombia with the support of European Union. She has been awarded ISPA, global fellowship 2020-2022, IETM, Global Connectors 2023-2027, GCRP 2022, ATSA, Arthink South Asia fellowship 2019-2020 and internationale tanzmesse NRW professional visitors 2024. She is pursuing her graduate studies in Experimental Choreography at University of California Riverside.

Israel Javier Hernandez Montaño is a Dancer, Choreographer, Scenic Artist, Meditation Instructor, Yogi from Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico. Israel has a Masters Degree in Dance at the Institute of Arts of the UAEH. He is a student of the Nelly and Gloria Campobello at the Escuela Nacional de Danza Nelly and Gloria Campobello, where he is studying for a Master’s Degree in Inclusive Art Projects. He is certified as an Instructor in meditation by Kalapgram Gurukulam Ashram in India and Universidad del Alma in Bogota Colombia. He trained in contemporary dance at the special school for men (Inba Mexico).

Shoko Tamai, a Japanese-Korean choreographer based in New York City, merges dance with environmental awareness to inspire human connection. She trained at the Central School of Ballet and the American Academy of Ballet, performing with companies like Dance Theater of Harlem and Cirque du Soleil. A Solo Seal recipient from the Royal Academy of Dance and a World Ballet Competition finalist, she also received a Merit Award at Premio Capri Danza International.

Henry Torres Blanco is a dancer, choreographer, and artistic director. He is a co-founding member of Lux Boreal Dance Company, based in Tijuana. His work focuses on creative processes that integrate the body, social identity, and dramaturgy. Blanco’s performances have been showcased across Mexico, the United States, South America, and Europe. He holds a degree in dance from Mazatlán Dance School in Mexico, as well as a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology. In 2009, he was named one of Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch” and is an award-winning member of the National System of Art Creators of Mexico.

Violeta Meza has served as the Artistic Director of Panamerican Dance Community AC for 11 years. She is a graduate of CEDART Frida Kahlo INBA and has participated in a summer intensive with Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company. Violeta has received choreography awards from CILD Argentina, VKIBC New York, Sheer Elite, and Prix de la Danse Luisa Díaz, as well as accolades at YGP Mexico and the YAGP finals in New York. She has also choreographed for Teatro San Benito Abad in Mexico and received the Mexico Dance Award from CIAD in 2021.

Luis Tavera was born in the State of Mexico on February 15, 1990. Tavera studied dance at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo. He has been a dancer in Ballet Independiente, La Cebra and in the project shown this evening, he directs “El Lirio, Danza Escénica.”

Marie Baker-Lee has danced in the companies of Mark DeGarmo, Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane, Judith Ren-Lay, Shelley Shepherd H/Bala Saraswati, Gus Solomons, Jr, Douglas Dunn, Charles Moulton, Nancy Zendora, and Muna Tseng. She was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award in Dance in 2012 from Mark DeGarmo Dance for her commitment and service to this company and for sharing her performative gifts with audiences locally and internationally. She toured in David Henry Hwang’s chamber opera The Silver River with choreography by Muna Tseng. Marie has danced with Mark DeGarmo for over 35 years.

Variety Pack Collective was founded in 2019 by a small group of dancers from various parts of the U.S.. VPC has collaborated, created, and choreographed together to create work for both live and digital performances by working with artists such as 530 Dance Photography, AP Dance, Trevor New and Enjinn Arts, musicians Gwendolyn Fitz, Victor V. Gurbo and Mark Caserta, and choreographer Vive Khamsingsavath. VPC aims to continue growth, artistic creation and cross-discipline collaboration.

Ramya Kapadia is an award-winning Knoxville-based multi-disciplinary creator, performer & curator who believes in building community through the arts.

Maddie Moayedi is a dancer, choreographer, and teaching artist from Baltimore, Maryland, graduating with a BFA in Dance and Composition from Towson University Magna Cum Laude. Maddie is currently a company artist with Chevalier Ballet and works as an Administrative & Marketing Associate with Mark DeGarmo Dance.

Yixin Wang is an actor, interdisciplinary theatre artist, and arts educator who based in Los Angeles. Her personal works have been performed at La MaMa, Lincoln Center, and Paramount Theatre. Her past works include “Men on Boats”, “Kodama”, and “Street Fighter”. Among these, “Kodama” has nominations and awards at multiple film festivals, such as the 2023 Korea International Short Film Festival and the 2023 New York International Film Festival. She is currently a member of the 2023-2024 Arts Education Residency at Ping Chong and Company.
