Karen DeLuca Stephens, MA, Secretary, is a writer and painter. She has lived in Mexico City for over thirty years and currently splits her time between Mexico City and New York City where she is a Fellow at the Writers’ Institute, CUNY.

Her board affiliations include the American School Foundation in Mexico City, serving as president of the foundation and chair of the board while overseeing the implementation of the school’s first strategic master plan. She previously participated on the Advisory Committee of JUCONI/ Together with the Children, an organization based in Puebla, Mexico that provides family protective services to marginalized children. She graduated from Northeastern University with a BA in philosophy and holds an MA in philosophy from Johns Hopkins University. She has also studied architecture at the Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico.
